Strait of Storms - Invasion > Medium, pretty short map, lacking mines, but you develop fast and it looks nice good for a map to be played and finished the same day. Rise of the Phoenix > Not the best map for advanced, but cool, mostly because it was the first time and first map I played HoMM3 (I chose Tower still my fav, but costy). Total War > Cool huge late-game map, with dragon dwellings, 8 players, everything. "Edit: You can set alliances directly from the editor itself! This is my comment from r/heroes3 on reddit. Send Instant Message | Send E-Mail | View Profile | Quote Reply | Link I'd rather go in map editor for 1 min and add the resources from expert via script. (more castles for AI, ban bad secondaries so AI does not pick them, ban mills/mystical garden in AI starting zone or near so they do not constantly run around grabbing stuff with their limited hero pool buffing towngate spawnrate also helps them a lot).Īlso for a challenge never play on anything less than impossible vs AI, they get smaller hero pool on expert+less resource bonus. Play 2v6 vs AI and give them whatever bonuses you think is right to make for a decent challenge. Its really easy and intuitive with HotA Editor, they did extremly good job. Friend and I dislike creature bank "meta" so I nerfed creature bank spawn rate to 1/5 for example. I would go ahead and make my own template, this way you can customize what you like best.
